Senior Pastor
Aaron Koepke

Aaron and Kim first met on a short-term, summer mission trip to India with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in 1991.  Neither realized this would lead to a life in ministry together.  Two years later they married and moved to Tucson where Kim taught elementary music while Aaron worked on finishing his degree in Religious Studies.  Upon Aaron’s graduation, both felt led by God to join the work of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and were invited to serve at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Their first direct exposure to Missoula came from the cab of their moving truck as they arrived in 1996, and Missoula quickly became home.  Celebrating four seasons and drinking good coffee are two of many reasons why they have come to love the Northwest.  Their thirteen years serving and loving students at UM were formative ones as each learned more about God’s love and purposes in this world.

January of 2008 brought transition to New Hope.  After being members of New Hope for over four years, Aaron and Kim were invited to assume the Senior Pastor position.  Their commitment is to continue to lead New Hope into being:  a place of belonging, a place to grow spiritually, and a place that provides opportunities to serve our community in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Aaron and Kim have two children; Jack and Sienna.

Kaleb HaubAssisting Pastor
Kaleb Haub

Kaleb and Julie met as students at the University of Montana through involvement in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. In college, Kaleb led a men's Bible study and also participated in a mission trip to Kenya. They began attending New Hope in 2001, seeking to find a church home where they could serve and grow to understand the Lord's calling on their lives. In June 2003, they were married by Pastor Alex. During the next couple years the Haubs served in many ways at New Hope, including investing in young people as volunteer youth staff.

In 2005, Kaleb and Julie moved to Billings to receive pastoral ministry training at Faith Chapel. For two years they attended seminary courses and interned full-time, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of church ministry. They also joined the New Hope team on a mission trip to Thailand in 2006.

Upon graduation in June 2007, the Lord brought them back to Missoula to serve on staff. Kaleb has recently received his pastoral license and serves as an assisting pastor at New Hope. He leads the children's ministry, oversees youth ministry, leads a young adult Bible study, and preaches on occasion, among other varying responsibilities.   In July 2008, Kaleb and Julie welcomed a new baby, Isabel, into their family.
